Biography

Joy Christiansen Erb currently resides in Youngstown, Ohio, where she is an Assistant Professor of Photography at Youngstown State University. She received an M.F.A. degree from Texas Woman’s University and a B.F.A. from Miami University.

Christiansen Erb is an active exhibiting photographer and installation artist. Her recent work has culminated into an exhibition entitled Family Gathering, which is currently traveling to different venues around the United States. Upcoming and recent exhibitions include the Lee Gallery, Oxford, OH, Galveston Arts Center, Galveston, TX, Hartnett Gallery, Rochester, NY and The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future in Dallas, TX.
